Youth Access to Alcohol Survey 2001
The Youth Access to Alcohol Public Opinion follow-up survey is a national opinion survey of U.S. adults, assessing knowledge of, attitudes towards, and levels of public support for a variety of alcohol-related public policies. The survey was conducted from April to December 2001. It covers several key areas of interest to those working to reduce underage drinking, including the following topics:- public concern and awareness of alcohol-related problems affecting youth;
- public knowledge and beliefs related to alcohol access and use;
- public support for youth/alcohol-targeted policy proposals (e.g., access restrictions, regulation of seller/server behavior, enforcement and penalties, restrictions on alcohol advertising, and server liability); and
- alcohol consumption behaviors and demographic information on survey respondents potentially associated with attitudes and opinions.
