The Final Score: Winning Against FAS
The Final Score: Winning Against FAS is a video about the prevention of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
It centers around a teenage girl who does not know she is pregnant and has to make a decision about whether or not to drink alcohol. The video also includes several interviews, one with a mom who gave birth to an affected child and one with an adoptive mom who shares her story of raising an affected child. Four Alaskan Native elders are also featured, giving advice to future child bearers about abstaining from alcohol during pregnancy.
The video is part of a series of educational resources being produced for distribution to educators and health care providers, and is suitable for viewing by ages 11 years to adult.
