Lessons Learned: Strengthening Civic Infrastructure
All across the country, communities are creating strong, effective networks to fight substance abuse. Once established, they can also be used to respond to a host of other problems facing communities. Drawing from the experience of six community coalitions, this report relates the discovery that strengthening a community's civic infrastructure is an unintended -- but positive -- outcome from efforts to reduce alcohol and drug abuse.
