What Colleges Need to Know Now: An Update on College Drinking Research
In 2002 the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism's (NIAAA's) Task Force released a report (A Call to Action: Changing the Culture of Drinking at U.S. Colleges) which turned a national spotlight on the problem of harmful drinking among college students.
Statistics and recommendations first introduced in the 2002 report are now routinely used by policymakers, legal experts, and organizations that provide college programming assistance to modify their efforts regarding college drinking.
The 2007 bulletin summarizes recent findings with updated statistics, analysis, and recommendations and is available as a PDF at no cost.
