NIAAA is beginning an exciting new VideoConference Series on Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Please join us!

What is the NIAAA VideoConference Series?

We understand that your organization depends upon accurate and timely alcohol research information -- and the new, interactive NIAAA VideoConference Series will deliver it quickly and easily.

The series will provide you with free, direct access to NIAAA's leading scientists and the latest alcohol research – all from the convenience of your computer. No travel, no cost, and no hassles.

Each VideoConference will consist of an engaging 20 minute presentation on a specific alcohol-research topic, designed specifically for our liaison community, led by an expert NIAAA scientist.

An interactive Q & A Session will follow where you can:

  • Ask questions
  • Hear expanded explanations
  • Discuss how your organization can use the research information

You will be able to follow the presentation and the slideshow through your computer, and communicate directly with the NIAAA scientist afterward.

Overall, the VideoConference Series will feature 2-3 presentations each year. We hope you will join us!

What is the topic of the first presentation in the series?

The first presentation in the NIAAA VideoConference series will be:

Alcoholism Isn't What It Used to Be: New Research on the Nature and Diagnosis of Alcohol Use Disorders

Dr. Mark Willenbring
Director
NIAAA Division of Treatment and Recovery Research

Wednesday, December 12, 2007
