The Nineteenth Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders in partnership with the New England Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the National Association of Lesbian and Gay Addiction Professionals presents "Moving Beyond Symptoms: Identifying and Treating Core Issues in Addiction", Thursday, September 7th through Sunday, September 10th, 2006 on Cape Cod at the Four Points Sheraton Hyannis Resort, Hyannis, Massachusetts.

Join Together subscribers are being offered free registration to the pre-conference and post-conference (either or both), held on Thursday, September 7 and Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2006. To take advantage of this offer, register for the full Symposium (Thursday evening through Sunday noon) online at www.ccsad.com. Make sure to select that you are a member of the Join Together Organization. You must attend the full Symposium to receive the free Pre/Post Conference Registration.

The Cape Cod Symposium on Addictive Disorders is one of the oldest and largest annual meetings dedicated to continuing education and networking in the field of addictions. The Symposium agenda is designed so that professionals from a variety of disciplines can obtain approximately 30 continuing education credits including required topics for certain professionals in the field.

Plenary presenters for 2006 include Patrick Carnes, PhD, David Fiellin, MD, David Lewis, MD, Celia Maxwell, MD, Henry Kranzler, MD, John Littleton, MD, David Mee Lee, MD, A. Thomas McLellan, PhD and many more! 

Among the 50 workshops, attendees can chose presentations covering such diverse topics as: pharmacology of alcohol dependence treatment, impaired professional treatment, co-occurring disorders and adolescents, spirituality, personality disorders, HIV/AIDS, crystal meth, and advanced office based opiate treatment.
