Website Information

Many people are unaware that alcoholism is a disease. They are unaware of how treatment for alcoholism works . . . or even unaware that there is treatment. During the month of April which has been set aside as "Alcohol Awareness Month" Mid-America ATTC is offering a faith community bulletin or newsletter insert sheet that can be downloaded free by churches, temples, mosques and other faith groups.

This 5 1/2" X 8 1/2 " double-sided informational sheet provides:

  • current facts from research about the number of persons struggling with alcoholism
  • effectiveness of evidence-based treatment
  • what persons can do to become more informed about this disease
  • what persons can do to help others suffering from alcoholism
  • what faith communities can do to provide support services

Read Mid-America ATTC's Faith and Alcohol Awareness Bulletin insert for more information.

Join Together publishes selected press releases and other announcements relevant to alcohol and drug policy, prevention, and treatment. The views expressed are solely those of the authoring organization.
