News Summary

Products like "Kronic Kandy" and "Pot Suckers" can no longer be sold to minors in Georgia, under a measure signed into law by Gov. Sonny Perdue this week.

WSB-TV reported May 7 that the new law bans the sale of marijuana-flavored candy to anyone under age 18 and sets fines of up to $500 for violations.

The measure, sponsored by Sen. Doug Stoner, will go into effect July 1. The group Vote Hemp said that the Georgia law is the first of its kind in the U.S.

I have never heard of marijuana-flavored candy. Marijuana is illegal in all states, isn't it? Marijuana is known to be the gateway drug. How can it be legal to sell it in candy form??? I just can't believe that it is allowed to even be sold to those over 18. That's just nuts!!
