News Summary

A Kennesaw, Ga., restaurant had its license to serve alcohol revoked after photos of minors drinking in the restaurant surfaced on the social-networking site Facebook, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Nov. 11.

The Cobb County Commission revoked the alcohol license of Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant after a show-cause hearing requested by the county license-review board.

The restaurant, located near Kennesaw State University and popular with students, came under investigation after county police received a written complaint and viewed the photos of underage drinkers on Facebook.

Investigators also discovered that several employees did not have valid work permits.

Underage drinking is only complicated by the continued distribution of alcohol to minors by servers who feel that it doesn't hurt anyone. Unfortunately these same minors get behind the drivers steering wheel and cause accidents. 100,000 people each year, are affected by drunk drivers

While the owners of the restaurant are bemoaning the loss of their alcohol license, they were done a favor. Now they won't have to face murder charges if an under-aged drinker who they served killed someone.
