News Summary

An ingredient in the stop-smoking product Resolve could cause kidney and liver damage or hinder red blood cells, Health Canada warns.

The Canadian Press reported July 28 that the Canadian government health office warned about the ingredient Cestemonol-350 and said consumers should not use the product. Health Canada has requested that the manufacturer recall Resolve but so far the company has refused.

Resolve is sold in retail stores and online. It is available in flavors like Cold Peppermint and Wild Cherry.
