News Summary

Judges in Florida will soon have the power to suspend or revoke the driver's licenses of residents who supply alcohol to underage drinkers, the Associated Press reported June 13.

Gov. Jeb Bush signed a bill that allows judges to punish alcohol suppliers by taking away their driving privileges for three to six months on a first offense and up to a year for subsequent offenses.

The measure takes effect on Oct. 1. Suspensions or revocations would be on top of other criminal charges faced by alcohol offenders.
