News Summary

A new survey finds that 37 percent of British men use alcohol as a stress-reliever, UPI reported June 8.

The survey, sponsored by vitamin-supplement firm Vitabolics Wellman, included 2,233 men over age 18. Researchers found that 96 percent said they suffered from workplace-related stress, and 22 percent said work stress made them depressed.

"The results from the ... survey are extremely worrying," said stress expert Cary Cooper of Lancaster University. "The fact that 1 in 6 men have been to their doctors regarding their stress levels highlights how serious the problem is."
