News Summary

Tracye Leigh Osborne, a waitress in Charlotte, N.C., was charged with selling alcohol to an underage person who was later killed in a drunk-driving crash, the Associated Press reported July 19.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officials, Osborne served alcohol to 17-year-old James Cippoletti and several of his friends at the Wild Wing Cafe. Cippoletti left the bar and was killed when his car struck a tree in Weddington.

The cafe could also have its state alcohol-sales permits suspended or revoked.
