Communities in Action High school students from Delaware County, Pennsylvania will be performing in "Stand the Pressure," an original play with original music and real-life stories, produced by the Youth Educating Society (YES) Theater group, the Delco Times reported on March 24.
The performance, which will debut on March 28 at Delaware County Community College, is funded by the Delaware County Office of Behavioral Health and Coordinated by Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems.
YES Theater, a teen substance use prevention program, has performed for local audiences for thirteen years, providing information to teens and their parents and exploring the themes of growing up and making healthy choices.
"Stand the Pressure" will address substance use, sex, violence, coping skills and self-awareness.
Adults who attend the performance can also judge the 2006 Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Awareness Poster Contest.
