A total of $21 million in new Drug Free Communities Act grants was awarded to 161 communities nationally, the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) announced Aug. 27.

The new grantees were chosen from a pool of 417 applicants and will receive awards of up to $625,000 over five years to facilitate community-based drug prevention activities. ONDCP also recently awarded $60 million in continuation funding to 565 existing Drug Free Communities programs and 10 mentoring groups.

The full list of new grantees can be found on the ONDCP website.
