Funding Tips & Trends

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has released eight grants totaling $11.19 million under its Recovery Community Services Program (RCSP).

The RCSP focuses on "the unique contribution that people in recovery can make to their peers," said SAMHSA Administrator Charles G. Curie. Five of the grants will fund recovery-community organizations run largely by recovering people and their families; the other three will go to facilitating organizations to provide their own support services, or otherwise assist communities in developing their own.

Each grantee will receive up to $350,000 per annum for four years, except Welcome Home Ministries, Inc. in Calif., which will receive up to $347, 559.
