A $21-million treatment grant award was announced by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration on Oct. 27.

The program will provide 14 grants in nine states geared toward expanding intensive residential treatment, mental health, and social services for pregnant or post-partum mothers suffering from alcohol and other drug abuse, as well as services for infants and siblings suffering from maternal drug and alcohol abuse.

Each of the state recipients will be awarded an average $500,000 per year for three years. Visit SAMHSA online for a complete list of grantees and programs.
