Funding Opportunity

Communities interested in creating special courts to deal with drunk-driving offenders may apply to participate in training offered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) Office of Safety Programs.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 DWI Court Training initiative, conducted by NHTSA in cooperation with the National Center for DWI Courts, a program of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals.

Communities accepted into the program will take part in a planning process commencing in March 2009 and ending in October 2009.

For more information, contact Brian Chodrow at NHTSA at 202-366-9765 or brian.chodrow@dot.gov.
