Research funding is available under the federal R01/Research Project Grant and R03/Small Research Grant protocols for researchers studying the Psychopharmacology of Widely Available Psychoactive Natural Products.

Schools, nonprofits, for-profit firms, governments, and others may apply for grants supporting research into the "chemistry, psychopharmacology, and/or toxicology of acute and chronic exposure to psychoactive natural products, as well as the transition in the use of these products to licit or illicit drugs of abuse."
