CA: $25 Million in New Healthcare Grants

Funding Opportunity

A total of $25 million in healthcare grants will be awarded over the next three years by UnitedHealth Group and PacifiCare in California.

The grants will benefit health consumers and improve service delivery. Grantmaking categories include technology improvements for safety-net providers; medical education programs in traditionally underserved communities; population-based preventive health strategies; support for coordinated care initiatives; and healthcare information-technology initiatives designed to improve healthcare delivery.

Grants will range in amount from $100,000 to $5 million.

Upcoming application deadlines are Oct. 12, 2007, Feb. 18, 2008, and Feb. 20, 2009. For more information, see the UnitedHealth website.
