Inhalant Abuse Research GrantsApril 21, 2006
Funding Opportunity
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is soliciting applications for research through its initiative, "Inhalant Abuse: Supporting Broad-Based Approaches."
Operating with three separate grant mechanisms, the program invites research proposals to study the general epidemiology, effects, treatment and prevention of inhalant misuse, with a focus on improving understanding of inhalant use among pre-adolescent children and teenagers. The size and range of each project is expected to change significantly from one to the next; award size will change concurrently.
Funding for this initiative will run through the R21 exploratory/developmental mechanism and the R03 small-grant application. Deadlines vary.
For more information on this grant, eligibility and ways to apply, view the separate R03 and R21 announcements online.
